So far in my project, I've set a shorter list of goals to hit within the major portion of the project's development (getting the device to move at all, getting the sensor to work) before I get to doing any extras (ex. button press features).
First on the list is getting the device to roll. The idea I have for my project is robotics-centered, therefore that alone is a little bit more advanced from what we've learned in class so far. I am using the instructions to Project 9: Rolling Robot from Professor Hagan's book, Easy micro:bit Projects, to help guide me into having the micro:bit and the kit (wheels and wiring) to move.
Second on the list is having the sensor find me and thus having the kit move towards me. Utilizing the sonar, I will examine the coding example from the book and use context clues to have the final product/result move in the way I want it to and when I'd want said 'actions' (not the word I want to use) to be triggered.
I have found mini robotic kits for sale online for micro:bits, however I don't have any intention on getting one as it involves different type of wiring, and I'd like to make the most out of what I already have in my kit.
Difficulties that I anticipate include putting a lot of effort into creating the code, testing it on the kit, and constructing the kit as a whole might be a little challenging.
