I tried creating a few animations for my Micro:bit over the weekend. It was a bit of a hassle scrolling up and down the blocks map as I was accessing the site through my laptop and haven't had the chance to switch the batteries on my mouse yet.

I had to grow patient to this, as I would want to go back to change the selection and/or the order of LEDs I wanted to light up. I wanted to make my animations to be slightly detailed - and my process came with a lot of clicking, fixing small mistakes isn't as fast as erasing something.

First, I created a code for symbols to display continuously. The symbols are from a brand I like called the witness collection, which uses symbols to tell the gospel.

Next, I made two button press animations, shown below. Pressing the A button will play an animation of a smiley face waking up, looking to the left where the button was pressed, then looking straight and smiling. Pressing the B button would play an animation of trailing sparks that collide - it's centered more towards the right of the display.

Finally, I created a small sort of mirrored domino rolling animation to play continuously.
